I realize it’s a campground and there will be a certain amount of dirt tracked in, but there should be maintenance people to clean several times a day. The mirrors are polished metal which would make good funhouse mirrors. Neither sink has a decent drain stopper – I wonder how many contact lenses and toothpaste caps have gone down the drain? The hand dryer worked once then never again in the 3 days we were there. There is no counter to put your things on so you can wash your face and do your makeup. Neither sink is ADA accessible or child-friendly. One only stays on as long as you hold it, one stays on for a minute or so then shuts off. Everything should be in working order after having the whole winter to fix things! There are two sinks, and each has a different handle. This is the beginning of the camping season. The toilets are supposed to have those sensors so they flush automatically, but two of them have signs up saying it was necessary to push the button. When we looked at the park website we wondered if our 9x10 tent would fit, since the reservation info said the tent pad area was 8x8, but there was plenty of room for the tent. If they get the cars driving through all night, cars/trucks with their engines running all night, & shady deals at all hours of the night we would love to stay here again. If you decide to stay here get a spot near the host, safer. My best sleep was that night after Ranger Hoag made his rounds. I got to talk with him about the garbage dumped he responded that they were trying to investigate it by going through trash.
We were there a couple nights before we even saw a Ranger drive through. I am happy I conceal carry or we may have left. They are required to pay like anyone else, but some looked shady. Some people were living in their cars/vans/homemade tents. One car pulled in stayed a few hours then dumped 4 large bags of garbage. (Grand Central Station) Saw cars pulling in, doors open, items transferred, or people sitting in cars for long time with engines running, worst yet sitting in cars with loud music. This place is totally open at night with cars driving through at all hours. There are cool trails to beach.īiggest problem with park is no one is in Ranger Kiosk. Not super clean.Īny visitors to your site must pay a $10 fee if they get out. Showers required tokens & my wife felt too uncomfortable to even use them due to people coming just to use restroom & leave park. No internet or cable, even with 5G on our phones.
